Trident Systems Develops Solution to Military Operation Distractions
Fairfax, Va. – April 24, 2007 – Trident Systems announces its solution to military operation distractions in its latest white paper, Wearable Display Systems. It addresses the previous issues with mobile computing devices and offers a solution and logic behind the importance of a body-worn, hands-free device. Trident Systems has created the Wearable Display 1.0 for military and civilians, providing users mobile computing without significant distractions. The WD 1.0 allows the mobile operator the ability to remotely control and monitor larger computer systems by making the device wearable. Physically, the WD 1.0 is worn on the body of the user with a compact and rugged design. The high-performance device also features day and night readability with a flexible operator and communication interface.
Previously, mobile computing devices needed users to focus an abundant amount of attention on the device and also required the use of both hands. In the case of military operations, such distractions have been known to cause severe risks.
With the development of the WD 1.0, military personnel, as well as first responders and other civilian agencies, will greatly benefit from the wide variety of functions that are possible. Firefighters have the ability to wear the device with a camera and display, allowing them to avoid serious hazards, while SWAT teams can have the ability to view targets out of the line of sight.
Trident Systems Incorporated (TSI) is a private veteran-owned business that has provided hardware and software systems to military and commercial clients since 1985. TSI supports customers ranging from the United States Military Forces to the New York Stock Exchange by harnessing emerging technologies, while providing innovative, affordable products and services that consistently exceed customers' expectations.
