April 30, 2007 (Press Release) --
At our next demo session and class we will have Nordic walking poles for up to 6 participants, but you must register (just send an e-mail to us) as one of the first 6. We try to keep our groups small, to ensure personal attention. If you don't register on time for this session, others will be held as demand warrants.
The demo will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 on the W&OD Trail in Vienna, Virginia. We will meet at 10:30 am at the parking lot, adjacent to the old W&OD Railroad station, next to Church street.
There are two parking lots there. Lets meet at the one next to the station, not next to the red caboose. The latter parking lot is larger, so you might want to park there and walk over to the station, which is only about 50 yards away - west.
Email us to register and for directions.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Please let me know your gender and height, so I can bring the appropriate poles.
A bottle of water in a belt holder probably would be nice also.
Don't forget to bring a driver's license, to be left as security for poles loaned to you. The license will be returned, upon return of the poles. Please email us, if you have any questions.
Our Nordic Walking series will focus first on the fundamental Nordic Walking technique, and as classes progress, will cater to all skill levels from fundamental to advanced.
For those interested in purchasing equipment at the demos, please be advised that credit card purchases can only be made through our website. Nordic walking equipment purchased at the class will have to be paid for with checks, or cash.
There is absolutely no cost, or obligation for the class, or loaner poles, so take advantage of this opportunity.

If you already walk, power walk, hike, run, or cycle, Nordic walking will enhance your fitness level. In addition, walking with poles is a lot more interesting and engrossing than plain walking.
