April 30, 2007 (Press Release) --
The fact that PayPal has enbedded itself so deeply into the world's financial institutions is a reason to take a hard look.
When a customer opens an account with PayPal they have restricted use.
To remove this restriction they must verify a bank account.
To do this PayPal tells them they will make 2 small deposits into that account.
The customer must then enter those amounts at PayPal's site.
Once this is done the account is unrestricted. And here is the problem.
PayPal never verifies that the deposits were received by the bank.
They are claiming to verify bank accounts they never verify received the deposits
they claim to have made. This is mind boggling. What banking system are they using?
How have they been able to bambozzle the banking industry? How involved in this scam is Ebay?
And even more importantly just who's money are they using, and where does it really go?
After 3 years of telling PayPal their deposits were never received by the bank,
one customer has finally filed Federal Complaints.
It is believed that investigations will soon be under way.
