May 3, 2007 (Press Release) --
On Saturday, May 12th Laidback will create a lounge for hip hop artists attempting to set a new Guinness World Record in the worlds first-ever 24 hour Rapathon and Fundraiser.
Laidback created by textile and graphics designer Tina Shoulders is a lifestyle brand driven by street fashions and hip-hop trends. It’s a new way of looking at home décor; it's fashion for your room. The denim driven collection with street-wear graphics has grown increasingly popular amongst the urban hipster crowd, most recently having it’s pillows style Music Soulchild’s VIP lounge.
“I’m very excited by this opportunity to create a stylish refuge in what can be a healing place for Hip Hop. The moment I heard what the Global Artists Coalition was trying to accomplish with a positive day of Hip Hop I knew I had to be a part of the event” Shoulders said.
Laidback will create a lounge area in the sprawling second floor of the Magic Johnson Theater, located at 2309 Frederick Douglass Blvd. Laidback will create a place of rest and rejuvenation for the tiring artists with oversized denim floor pillows in an array of colors.
Laidback will also offer 2 of it’s new designs that debut earlier in the day at Brooklyn Designs as prizes.
The line is presently available at the Studio Museum Of Harlem Store and online at www.laidbackhome.com
