May 6, 2007 (Press Release) --
"It's really sad and really affecting my children," Hasselhoff told E! News.
The tape, made by his daughter Taylor-Ann, 16, shows the actor lying on the floor and clumsily eating a hamburger while the girl reproves him about his drinking.
Hasselhoff told E! he has given his children permission in the past to tape him in the event of a relapse. He said the tape was made during a relapse of a day and a half.
The tape's existence was first reported Thursday by TV's ''The Insider,'' ''Entertainment Tonight'' and ''Extra,'' which quickly posted stills and clips from it on their Web sites.
It was shot at Hasselhoff's home in Las Vegas, where the former ''Baywatch'' star has been appearing in a stage version of ''The Producers.''
Hasselhoff, 54, filed for divorce from Pamela Bach last year after 16 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
On Friday, Hasselhoff said he believes Bach, 43, leaked the tape. He said lawyers have not been helping in his divorce case and instead he's intending to hire an exorcist.
Courtney Love on her plastic surgery: "I wanted my anger to be valid, and the only way to do that is to be fairly attractive."
Madonna on why she wrote a children's book: "I'm starting to read to my son. But I couldn't believe how vapid and vacant and empty all the stories were. There's, like, no lessons ... There's, like, no books about anything."
Amanda Bynes on nice people: "That is really nice when they are nice. When they are not so nice, it's not nice."
Paris Hilton on fidelity: "When you're in the public eye, it's wrong to cheat on someone, unless you're very careful. If you're normal and no one's going to know, then do it.
Rod Stewart on breaking up: "I've always been the one to push and shove and say, 'Sorry, that's it darlin', it's all over, goodbye. Take 20 Valiums and have a stomach pump and that's the end of it."
