May 8, 2007 (Press Release) --
Growing serviced office company Avanta has expanded its portfolio of managed business space with the addition of three new properties in London and Birmingham.
The company is launching its first business centre in the City having agreed a lease for 55,000 sq ft with Exemplar Properties and GE Real Estate UK at 23 Austin Friars, London EC2. The property, which was comprehensively refurbished by Exemplar and GE Real Estate in 2006, is now fully let.
The company is also opening its first business centre outside the South East, taking 10,000 sq ft at 65 Church Street in the city centre of Birmingham. The building is owned by Kenmore Property Group, who earlier this year funded a management buyout of Avanta, releasing a £100 million capital investment programme into the business.
In a third addition to the company’s portfolio, Avanta is launching its sixth business centre in the West End, having taken an eight year lease on the 28,000 sq ft building at 271 Regent Street, from landlord Norwich Union.
Avanta now operates serviced office suites across eleven properties in central London, West London, the City, the Thames Valley and Birmingham. The deal brings the total amount of serviced office space managed by Avanta to over 375,000 sq ft, with the company on target to meet its objective of managing over one million sq ft in the next two years.
The company has also just launched a property outsourcing joint venture with The Asset Factor, offering a new service to corporate occupiers which takes on their leasehold liabilities and manages vacant space as serviced office suites.
Chief Executive David Alberto said: “This is the latest milestone in the company’s on-going growth strategy. Our expansion nationwide is now well underway, and we will be opening further centres across the UK throughout this year.”
The appeal of an Avanta serviced office to the occupier is that it offers highly flexible, unbranded office space, with advanced and competitively priced business technology, tailor made to meet the requirements of the company, whatever shape or size.
The company has just launched a new virtual office service – Avanta Virtual PA. Designed to offer businesses a complete package of office support but without the actual office space, Virtual PA can deliver a full range of business centre facilities to home workers, business start-ups, professionals on the move, or larger organisations seeking a market presence in London.
One of the many benefits businesses can enjoy as part of Avanta’s virtual office community is having a prestigious London address at one of Avanta’s premier London business centres, including the Media Village, without paying the required rent to physically occupy the building. Mail is handled by Avanta staff and is forwarded on the same day as delivery. Clients can even enjoy their own London telephone number and call management service, and have access to Avanta’s experienced office back-up support team.
