May 9, 2007 (Press Release) --
(Amman, Jordan – May 2007) In Celebration of Labor Day, The Arab German Insurance Company organized a thorough medical screening of the cement factory employees. This event comes in line with AGI’s constant pursuit of developing better health care programs for their clients, in this instant detection of potential respiratory health hazards at the cement factory and assists employees in detecting respiratory problems that may already affect them.
Arab German Insurance Company’s continuous search for new research and the latest developments in medicine lead to their collaboration with one of the major pharmaceutical companies in the respiratory drugs field, Glaxo SmithKline. GSK provided the necessary equipment and medication needed for the screening.
During the examinations, pamphlets on asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory diseases were distributed to the workers. These pamphlets highlighted the symptoms of various chest diseases and encouraged workers suffering from illnesses to seek medical care. Chest disease specialists, using the latest technology for measuring the efficiency of the lungs, also examined workers at the cement factory.
Mr. Raed Al-Raimouny, General Manager of AGI commented on this initiative by saying, “This day, with all of the examinations and procedures that have taken place, will be neither the first nor the last for Arab German Insurance. We will continue to bring the latest medical technology, carrying out our promise to our customers to provide the latest medical care with more to come in 2007 as promised under our slogan, ‘We Deliver’.”
Khalid Al-Qaisi, Deputy General Manager for health and life insurance at AGI added, “Our cooperation with one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the field of respiratory and chest drugs to hold this screening day is the result of our ongoing quest to develop health care services to our insured customers and clients. Arab German Insurance is in constant search of all that is new in the world of medicine, medical care and the prevention of any and all illnesses.” Arab German Insurance has provided medical insurance for the employees of the cement factory for the past two years.
