The company builds a strong local presence in Japan

Tokyo, Japan - May 10, 2007 – Streaming21, the world’s leader in broadcast-quality streaming solutions, launches its new wholly-owned subsidiary today in Tokyo, Japan. The new subsidiary, Streaming21 K.K. will better serve its Japan customers with high-quality local engineering, project management and sales supports. The Company will also aggressively look for new channels and local strategic partners to expand business in the fast-growing IPTV market in Japan. As IPTV service providers in Japan upgrade their service portfolios to HDTV and IPv6 standards, Streaming21 Japan will continue innovations to help deliver high-impact services that drive subscriptions and ARPU.
Currently, Streaming21 has already set up offices in the U.S., Taiwan, Japan and China. The Company’s end-to-end IPTV solution is adopted by many Tier 1 Telcos and IPTV service providers around the world, such as NTT Communications, NEO Index, VIC TOKAI, Enterwave and TEPCO in Japan, as well as Korea Telecom (KT), and Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) in Taiwan.

Streaming 21 has appointed Mike Chiang as General Manager of Streaming21, Japan. In his new role, Chiang will be in charge of Japan’s local engineering, sales support and project management. His primary focus is to further strengthen Streaming21's leadership position in IPTV/VOD market, and to explore new business opportunities for emerging HDTV & fixed mobile convergence in Japan. He is a proven executive with substantial expertise in streaming services for Telco and broadband service providers, and led Streaming21 team to win and deploy IP video projects at KT and NTT. He has over 18 years of marketing and technical experience in high-tech environments in the U.S. and Asia Pacific.
