May 10, 2007 (Press Release) --
Wasabi Systems today announced that Frank G. Logan, III, the Company’s President and CEO, was named as the 2007 KPMG LLP High Tech Entrepreneur at Tech Nite ’07, the Tenth Annual Hampton Roads Technology Awards. On Thursday May 4, 2007, KPMG partner Cheryl Xystros presented Logan with its prestigious High Tech Entrepreneur Award.
Timothy J. Early, President / Director, Hampton Roads Technology Council, Regional Director of Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology and Executive Director, Hampton Roads Technology Incubator explains the nomination criteria for the High Tech Entrepreneur Award, “This award honors an individual who has demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial success in the development of a technology-based, commercial enterprise. The individual must have been instrumental in the key technology development, commercialization, and subsequent demonstrated marketing success of related products and services. The entrepreneur's enterprise shall be headquartered, or substantially based, in the Hampton Roads region.”
“I have been fortunate to find and work with very talented and motivated people and would never be here without their efforts,” concedes Logan. “I am very thankful for our professional partners and the outstanding team at Wasabi. Receiving this award is quite an honor, and I appreciate it very much.”
"It was the Hampton Roads Technology Council's great pleasure to honor Frank Logan's years of entrepreneurial endeavors by awarding him our 2007 KPMG High Tech Entrepreneur Award,” said Early. “With his repeated success, Frank is a role model for entrepreneurs. We need more folks like him, those willing to risk it all to build a
dream. These are the people that provide jobs for our children and strengthen the economic base of our hometown. Frank’s company, Wasabi Systems, is headquartered in Hampton Roads entirely due to Frank. This type of commitment can only be derived from existing and new companies that want to live here. Wall Street influenced enterprises headquartered elsewhere come and go, as we so well know.
“Frank Logan is extremely deserving of our award, Hampton Roads and I owe him our deepest appreciation and thanks.”
