Battle of the Bell Maquette Approved
Twentynine Palms – Action Council for 29 Palms is pleased to report that Twentynine Palms Kiwanis, and the Board of Directors for Action Council for 29 Palms have approved the maquette for the October 2007 Battle of the Bell mural.

On May 8, 2007, Twentynine Palms Kiwanis gave their final approval for Master Artist Art Mortimer’s maquette, which depicts the Battle of the Bell mural. The following night the Board of Directors for Action Council for 29 Palms also gave its approval for the maquette. The Battle of the Bell mural will be painted on the MPR building at the Twentynine Palms High School.
Anyone who purchases a Battle of the Bell mural print will be able to pick it up at Bowden Frame shop, which is located at 73487 29 Palms Hwy, downtown Twentynine Palms. Dana Bowden has graciously offered to carry out the distribution of all Battle of the Bell mural prints once they have been signed and numbered by artist Art Mortimer. Anyone interested in acquiring a Battle of the Bell print can obtain an order form at Bowden Frame Shop and the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce office.
After the Battle of the Bell mural has been painted, the maquette will be turned over to the Twentynine Palms Historical Society, which houses all maquettes for each mural commissioned by Action Council for 29 Palms.
