Director of Photography A. Jonathan Benny has been nominated for a 2007 Leo Award in the category of Best Cinematography in a Feature Length Film. The Vancouver, BC shot drama, Mount Pleasant, is distributed by Christal Films. "It is an honor to be nominated for a Leo Award." says Benny. "It was a really enjoyable and creative experience working on Mount Pleasant with director Ross Weber and producer Kimberley Wakefield."
This is the 4th Leo Award nomination for Benny. Previously he was nominated for his directing, screenwriting and cinematography for his film Do Not Disturb in 2004. In 2006, Benny won a Golden Sheaf Award (Yorkton) for best Cinematography for his work on the film Dark Pines.
