May 14, 2007 (Press Release) --
An interactive medical website featuring multimedia learning resources has been launched on www.healthcarerepublic.com, the home of primary care.
It is intended to help doctors enhance practice services and improve patient care by providing a richer level of primary care learning. The site was devised with Eduhealth Media, a partner of the University of Leicester and NHS provider of interactive training.
http://learning.healthcarerepublic.com contains advanced multimedia learning modules for doctors to learn new skills and reaffirm their medical knowledge. The current courses, ‘Minor Injuries in Emergency Medicine’, ‘Spotting the Sick Child’ (Paediatrics) and ‘Suturing’, begin a series that will cover a number of areas of importance to healthcare professionals.
Site visitors will be able to sign up and pay for annual access to the learning modules, which will include ‘Spirometry’, ‘Clinical Cardiology’, ‘Paediatric Cardiovascular Examination’, ‘Paediatric Respiratory Examination’ and ‘Clinical Respiratory Medicine.’
Matthew Gerry, Online Publisher at Haymarket Medical, says: “High-quality video learning on Healthcare Republic provides a convenient online resource for healthcare professionals to access at work or from their own home.”
Anoop Maini, Director of Strategy, Eduhealth Media adds: “Effective use of these materials will help doctors to provide a better service, and train their clinical practice staff to do the same.”
