May 22, 2007 (Press Release) --
SIGG Switzerland, the world leader in premium water bottles, announced that guitarist/vocalist Adam Gardner of the band Guster, and popular eco blogger Jill Fehrenbacher, will judge the finalists in the SIGGART design competition (www.mysigg.com/siggart).
“We’re excited to have Adam and Jill participating in this program,” stated Steve Wasik, President SIGG USA. “They offer two very different perspectives yet both bring a keen eye for style and eco-sensibility.”
Gardner fronts Guster, an alternative rock band whose Campus Consciousness Tour brought eco-consciousness to the forefront on college campuses during 2006. He is also the co-founder of Reverb, an organization that helps artists produce greener music tours.
Fehrenbacher, recently featured in Vogue, is a New York-based blogger and design consultant who advocates for forward-thinking design and architecture on Inhabitat, a blog she founded as a grad student in 2005. Today the site receives more than 500,000 unique visitors each month.
Other judges will include Wanda Weller, Director of Design for Patagonia, Scott Harrison of the Surfrider Foundation, and Stephan Lack, the CEO of SIGG Switzerland. The contest runs through June 1. The ten contestants with the highest vote totals will be named finalists, and the judges will select one of their designs to be produced by SIGG and sold exclusively at Patagonia and on www.mysigg.com during this holiday season.
