May 25, 2007 (Press Release) --
America’s women are continually faced with the desire to supplement family income while at the same time meet the demands of a growing family. For most women, being a mom and staying actively involved in their children’s lives is of primary concern. The thought of leaving young toddlers at a day care facility is not an attractive option. As a result, more and more families are opting to find creative solutions to the Work vs. Family conundrum. Engaging in direct selling allows women to become an entrepreneur and start their own business. They can set their own schedule and expectations for growth.
Corporate downsizing in late 2003 caused President, Jill Kennison, to re-evaluate her lifestyle. Her desire to be at home and take control of her financial destiny led to the formation of Cupere, a home-based-business. For the last fifteen months she and her husband, Brad, have been assisting other women in starting their own home-based- business, with a minimal capital investment. At first, word spread by word of mouth, but with the introduction of a new corporate website, www.cuperedesigns.com, the company will be able to reach women throughout the United States.
Armed with experience as a buyer for a specialty retail store and a flair for fashion, Kennison began designing a contemporary line of pearl and gemstone jewelry, available exclusively at in-home private showings. Before long, other women caught the fever and began inquiring about becoming an independent representative. Cupere representative, Lilly Tarricone states “Cupere offers you an awesome product; beautiful and high quality pearl and gemstone jewelry, along with a great business opportunity; a generous compensation plan, with the added flexibility to work around family and other job commitments”. Cupere is now on a mission to help other women establish a home-based- business of their own which will provide them the freedom and flexibility to live a more balanced lifestyle.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that by the year 2008, women will form 48 percent of the labor force, compared to 46 percent in 1998. And, according to a study by the nonprofit Center for Women’s Business Research (CWBR), one-woman businesses, the category that most new entrepreneurial Moms fall into, have been growing at twice the rate of the national average.
Today, more than 14.1 million people participate in direct selling of which 82.2 percent are women. What a blessing it is explains Kennison, to show other women how to build a successful business and to have a positive impact on their families.
