Apple TV is a wireless device that allows one to play music, movies, photos, videos and more on a widescreen TV. Using this device you will be able to conduct wireless transfers of multimedia data from your computer to the television.
Apple TV comes loaded with a 40GB hard disk drive that can locally store around 50 hours of movies, 9,000 songs, and 25,000 pictures.
Apple TV has a great new interface, and this enables users to browse and view their entire collection of digital media from a distance of around 30 feet using the simple and very intuitive Apple Remote. What is more, Apple TV connects to almost all modern widescreen televisions.
What’s more, Apple TV is also very much compatible with both Windows and Mac platforms. So, it will definitely have quite a large number of Indian buyers.
Apple TV is very similar to Windows Media Centre PC, which also connects home entertainment devices with the television wirelessly. But, that’s not to say that Apple TV can actually replace any existing devices like Media Centre, because Apple TV has a charm of its own.
Only thing is, in India we do not have the iTunes store. Not only that, high definition televisions are quite a rare commodity in the country as well. But, on the bright side of things, we have loads of media people with Macs who will most definitely take a second look Apple TV.
Apple TV is expected to cost approximately Rs.18,700 in India and is scheduled to land all over the country including Apple’s 11 Imagine stores.

Apple TV is expected to arrive in India next month. The announcement of the availability was made a while ago, and according to Apple, the company would soon begin shipments to the Indian market.
