Delroy, an independent gospel recording artist himself, has recently released his sophomore CD, "My Life" which has been getting raved reviews by his fans. He understands the struggles of independent artists quite well, and thought of starting this award show to help lift the spirits and encourage independent artist by recognizing their hard work and dedication to their God-given talent.
His will and determination certainly paid off at last year's event, accolades poured in from those who were in attendance and even those who were not. Delroy Said that he will never forget the encouraging words that Mr. David Whitfield of the Whitfield Music Group and brother of the late Maestro Thomas Whitfield shared with him the day after the show, in the lobby of the Robert Treat Hotel:
"I have been to many awards show in my lifetime, and very few was of the quality I saw at the En Sound Music Awards. Delroy, You have started something great, and I see this event becoming the event that everyone will be talking about for years to come, and will want to be a part of. You have started something wonderful"
Delroy saw his prayers and hard work paid off last year, and I cried tears of joy several times throughout the ceremony, there were others there noticeably crying with me as well, he said, admitting that he's never worked on anything that hard in his 41 years on this earth.
Artists wishing to be considered for this year's event are encouraged to send a copy of their CD along with a non-refundable submission fee of $25 to: En Sound Music Awards - P.O.
