May 30, 2007 (Press Release) --
(Miami, Florida) May 30, 2007--
Celebrating its second birthday JUNEFEST will take place Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Chakra Lounge located in Miami Beach. The venue is a multi-level entertainment complex situated on world famous Ocean Drive. The event promises to be bigger and better than last year which was an incredible success in spite of mother nature’s lack of cooperation. The party starts at 9pm with a stellar red carpet kick-off.
With the plethora of events constantly taking place in Miami, JUNEFEST is the only event specifically created for those of Caribbean roots. The event will hit South Florida once again this summer amidst the sand and Miami palm trees and during the month of June, now recognized as Caribbean/American Heritage month.
Unlike last year’s event which took place at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, this year’s event will be indoors. The event’s organizers felt that although the rain didn’t completely ruin the activities last year, they wanted to make sure this year’s attendees, VIP and celebrities could enjoy the festivities without concern.
What can one expect at JUNEFEST 2007? An evening filled with all of the elements the Caribbean is known for and then some. One can please their palate with free rum and complimentary cocktails, delicious food by Caribbean chefs; live Reggae, Creole, Latin music and a live taping of the Carübbean Life TV Show as well as captivating Caribbean imagery on digital screens. Guests can dance the night away as they listen to one of the JUNEFEST guest DJs spin Calypso, Zouk, R&B, and Hip Hop.
Entertainment will also include celebrity guests such as Chef Creole and a special appearance by Inner Circle – The original “Bad Boys.” This Grammy winning quintet is one of the world's most respected reggae groups. Also playing are Los Herederos, Erol Josue, Prince of Haitian roots music, Erol is the first Haitian artist signed by EMI Records, Code Red Band playing mesmerizing Reggae and more. Visual entertainment, hostesses & dancers by Hot Jam Entertainment and Silvia Brazil will grace the stage and show us how to do it JUNESFEST style!
JÜNEFEST is the ultimate destination for CARÜBBEANS during Caribbean-American Heritage Month across the United States! This will also mark the launch of an interactive social networking website www.carubbeanlife.com at this year’s JUNEFEST.
