New Hyde Park (May, 2007) – On Wednesday, June 13, more than 25 business leaders from across Long Island and Queens will gather at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island to attend the fifth meeting of the Eastern Queens and Long Island Networking Group. EQLI is a grassroots organization coordinated by Gayle Naftaly, who serves as Board Advisor to the House. Ms. Naftaly, who is also owner/operator of access.office, inc. in Garden City, will be hosting the meeting at the House in New Hyde Park.
EQLI group members aim to discuss and generate ideas, build new relationships within the community and invite businesses and individuals who want to help the House. According to
Ms. Naftaly, the networking group builds relationships between members of the business community, while showing them how they can give something back at the same time. The Eastern Queens and Long Island Networking Group meets once a month and features one or
two member speakers who present a topic of interest to attendees. EQLI’s June meeting will feature speakers Anthony Carvalho, director and owner of Healthy Living Group.com and
Ed Weinstein, owner of ECW Printing Co.
Based out of Bayshore, Long Island, the mission of Healthy Living Group is to improve peoples’ quality of life by providing innovative products of safety, convenience and well being. Mr. Carvalho brings more than 17 years of health and well being experience to the table. Prior to creating Healthy Living Group.com, he was President of Zone321, an environmental consulting firm. Mr. Carvalho has also partnered HealthyLivingGroup.com with toysforhope.org, a non-profit organization that provides toys, books, clothing and other items to homeless children and their families on Long Island.
ECW Printing Co. is owned and operated by Ed Weinstein and has been in existence for the past eight years. ECW Printing Co. is a full service broker specializing in promotional items, printing and mailing services. The company works with various vendors/manufacturers to get the best pricing and quality for its clients. Mr. Weinstein donates a portion of all proceeds from new clients to the House and tries to promote awareness of the House and it’s mission wherever he goes.
Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a ‘home-away-from home’ for families who are caring for seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. Located on the campus of Schneider Children’s Hospital, the House accommodates families in a warm and supportive environment. Since opening in 1986, more than 10,000 families from the United States and more than 80 countries around the world have been served. Most families are from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as from the five boroughs of New York City.
