FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 1, 2007 -- www.byokids.com.au is the brainchild of Leah Squire, a wife and mother of two boys with a passion for travel and her family. BYOkids began as little more than a travel blog to follow their families journeys as they travelled extensively throughout Australia, NZ, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Before long it was evident from readers’ enquiries that families wanting to holiday needed information and articles relevant to them. They had questions that some travel agents just couldn't answer.

The site grew steadily and has now become a valuable resource for thousands of parents. With articles on "how to stay sane on your next road trip" and "wwoofing with kids", lists of restaurants with kids entertainment and information on free family fun the site is unique and winning votes with mums and dads.

www.byokids.com.au is a free information site so Leah was taken by surprise when the booking requests and enquiries started flooding in. "We had people asking us to book their family holidays and we were sending them away, then we thought, this is crazy" so it was decided that byokids would become a licensed travel agent. Leah said "It’s been a lot of hard work and I have to thank my very supportive husband and kids, but now it’s working fantastically. Our consultants are based on the Sunshine Coast in Qld almost all enquiries come in via email or 1300BYOkids. It works well for stay at home parents we can handle all their arrangement without them ever having to step out the front door. Busy working mums and dads have enough on their plates let alone having to find time to visit a travel agent or conduct their own research on the web, we do it all for them".
"We are in negotiation with many of Australia's family friendliest properties to bring our clients the very best deals in family holidays. Our consultants have heard so many stories from parents who say that they were booked into a flash apartment with the glass vases and china figurines!! Not to mention the balcony with no railing!! Our aim is to eliminate the bad family holiday experience" said Leah.

BYOkids also has plans to bring out print versions of the site in major family tourist destinations, the A5 guides will be free and enable parents to find the family friendliest places to stay play and eat whilst on holidays.

Leah Squire is the owner/editor of www.byokids.com.au, she is director of the travel agency is also a freelance travel writer and has appeared on seven sunrise and has received radio and press media highlighting her achievements and ability to balance her family and career.
