Los Angeles, CA— Celebrity Athletes, Movie and Film Talent, Radio Personalities and Diplomats for The Salvation Army gathered together at Lucky Strike Lanes in Torrance, CA on Wednesday, May 30th and The Trump National Golf Course on Thursday, May 31st to raise funds for and celebrate the 120th Anniversary of the Salvation Army in South Los Angeles.
The Inaugural Team-Up LA Celebrity Bowling & Golf Tournament was honored with the support and attendance of participants such as Malik Yoba, Elton Brand, Travis Taylor, Denyce Lawton (Redline), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), Wesley Jonathan (ROLLBOUNCE), Olden Polynese, Cato June (Buccaneers), Reggie Bush (New Orleans Saints), Paul Davis (Clippers), Chris Spencer, Ray Lewis (Ravens), and Nicole Murphy.
The conference was hosted/sponsored by Jet Blue, Country Wide, Salon Santiago, Social Hollywood and The Trump National Golf Course. It is one of the several community events being held around the country under the auspices of the Team-Up Organization, a group of industry professionals from the business, entertainment, and non-profit communities committed to supporting children and families in need of the bare necessities to be part of society.
“It has been a true passion of mine to work in the inner city with the youth of South LA. I am blessed to have the chance to work with such a wonderful organization. I have created Team-Up LA to bring the needed funds to the South LA Center for Worship and Service,” said Lara Blume, Founder of Team-Up that Hosted the event. “This event will be held annually and will bring out some of the hottest names in sports and entertainment.”
