Quantum3D Co-Founder and President Ross Q. Smith to Receive 2007 Frost & Sullivan Lifetime

SAN JOSE, CA�June 11, 2007� Quantum3D�, Inc., a leading provider of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), open-architecture, realtime visual computing solutions, today announced that Ross Q. Smith, co-founder and president of Quantum3D, will receive a 2007 Frost & Sullivan Lifetime Achievement Award. These awards are bestowed each year upon individuals whose careers are characterized by legacy-rich accomplishments and positive influence. The award itself acknowledges each recipient�s vision, style of management and dedication to making a difference to his or her industry, all of which have been instrumental in spurring excellence in the sales and/or marketing function within the recipients� organizations.

Frost & Sullivan seeks to identify individuals whose risk-taking and leadership traits have had a profound effect on the performance of the individuals� companies or their industries as a whole. Such individuals should stand out among their peers. Award nominees are determined by Frost & Sullivan research analysts who nominate leaders from the industries in which they specialize (Information and Communication Technologies, Financial Services, Aerospace and Defense, Healthcare, Automotive and Transportation, Energy and Power, and so on). Nominations are based on length of time in the industry, depth and breadth of expertise, and contributions to the company and industry. Such contributions include innovation, leadership, impact and, of course, leading a company with year over year growth. The Frost & Sullivan chairman and board make the final selections.

�Mr. Smith is widely considered a pioneer of PC-based realtime visual computing and has been the driving force behind Quantum3D�s leadership role in transforming the visual simulation and training and embedded visual computing markets from proprietary to open architecture and COTS,� said Frost & Sullivan director of Production Events Division Caryn Brown. Mr. Smith is responsible for the strategic vision behind multiple watershed realtime visual computing products and underlying technologies�including parallel-rendering PC-based Image Generators such as Obsidian, Mercury, AAlchemy and Independence, and the Sentiris, Thermite and Expedition embedded visual computing products.

The 2007 Lifetime Achievement Awards will be announced at the 3rd Annual Growth Innovation and Leadership 2007: A Frost & Sullivan Executive Congress on Corporate Growth to be held September 16-18, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Monterey.
