Andiamo Coffee "wows" those in attendance with their best gourmet coffee and rooibos tea selections.

Last month, Andiamo Coffee joined 39 other local food & drink exhibitors in showcasing their companies to hundreds of people in attendance for the 5th annual Queens Taste of the World fundraising event. Tony Tantillo, the Food Editor and expert from CBS 2 served as the taste-master of the event and joined the crowd in sampling food and drink from some of the best establishments Queens, New York has to offer.
Held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the evening couldn't have been more successful for Andiamo Coffee. With a display featuring gourmet coffee and teas, the Andiamo Coffee booth proved to be a very popular destination, as people who payed $85 each to attend the event lined up 3 deep for a taste of Andiamo Coffee's Kenya AA, House Decaf, and their unique and wonderfully aromatic Mandarin Orange Rooibos Tea.
During the course of the event, those in attendance were asked to vote for their favorites in 5 categories: best appetizer, best entree, best dessert, best beverage (alcohol), and best beverage (non-alcoholic). In what the Discover Queens website described as "upsets", Andiamo Coffee capped off a tremendous evening by winning the Best Beverage (non-alcoholic) Award.
"Andiamo Coffee's on the map. Once again, this is continuing proof that our gourmet coffee is second to none. Plus our Rooibos teas are about as unique and refreshing as you'll ever taste!" said company president Ron Costa. "But the best part is we make our freshly roasted coffees available as a private label for companies, restaurants, and delis searching for a cost-effective (and delicious) way to better market to their clients." he continued.
Said company vice-president Maria Evangelista, "More and more people are starting to realize where to get the best tasting coffees and teas. We take pride and passion in everything we do. And our mission at the Queens Taste of the World event was to serve the best tasting coffee."
Mission accomplished.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Queens Economic Development Corporation, a tax exempt, not-for-profit organization dedicated to provide access to economic opportunities for all businesses and residences of Queens.
"We are tremendously grateful to help out QEDC in any way possible", added Andiamo Coffee principal Paul Schleicher. "It's an honor to be associated with the organization and we're thankful to have been part of the event. Winning the Best Non-Alcoholic Drink Award just made it that much better."
