FlippingBook Team released FlippingBook SWF Object

June 13, 2007 (Press Release) -- FlippingBook SWF Object is a "lite" version of our component and is intended for users who do not have a Flash development environment. The SWF Object is an SWF file that can be inserted into an HTML page. If you have ever created HTML pages with embedded SWF files, you will have no difficulties using this product. The SWF file contains our Page Flipping Engine that can be customized via the XML file. In this way you will be able to use this product to create books with the flipping effect simply by specifying the paths to page images in the XML file:

Aside from customizing pages, you can control the appearance of your book: background image, preloader type, intensity of shading, flipping speed, and page loading method (full preloading or loading on demand).

The main difference between this product and our component is that you cannot control your book using ActionScript commands. That is, this product is best suited for creating books which users flip manually and which do not require additional buttons for navigation, automatic flipping in slide-show mode, etc.

The simplest way is to use this product with any WYSIWYG HTML editing environment. We recommend Adobe Dreamweaver. However, the Flash SWF Object does not require any additional software in general, apart from a simple text editor to create HTML pages and edit the XML file.

We supply the Flash SWF Object with a sample of an already created book that you may use as a starting point for your project.
