Homewood Suites by Hilton has announced that Fort Collins, Colorado is the official location of the brand’s 200th property.

Homewood Suites by Hilton, the national brand of upscale, all-suite, residential-style hotels, has announced that Fort Collins, Colorado is the official location of the brand’s 200th property. The announcement has been eagerly anticipated as a major source of pride and achievement on both the corporate and individual property level. The property’s official opening date was Friday 25th May, 2007.
The 99 suite property will make use of a new initiative unveiled earlier this year called Mobile Learning. They will be among the first new hires in the Homewood brand to be trained with the specially designed training programs on video iPods.
“The hotel is conveniently located at 1521 Oakridge Drive, one mile from technology row and is designed for guests who stay for five or more nights, but is also perfect for short stays and families who need to feel more at home while they are traveling,” said John Maple, general manager. “We are the ideal place for those travelers who are away from home or the office for several days but still need to have a full kitchen, executive business center and complimentary high-speed Internet access.”
Homewood Suites has experienced a strong growth period since opening its first hotel in 1989, and eyes the opening of Fort Collins as a major achievement for the brand as a leader in the extended stay market.
“Fort Collins is at the core of the tremendous growth that Homewood Suites has experienced in recent years and solidifies its position as a leader in the extended stay industry as our 200th property. We are very excited to grow the Homewood family into the Fort Collins community and look forward to working with them and adding Fort Collins to the list of locations of our unique brand,” remarked Rebecca Wyatt, senior vice president of brand management.
The 4-story Homewood Suites by Hilton Fort Collins features residential-style studio, one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens and spacious sleeping and living area that are large enough for work, study, entertaining or relaxing. In an effort to help guests be more productive, complimentary high-speed internet is available in each guest suite as well as in the Lodge and meeting rooms. In addition, the Hilton Family of hotels custom-designed its own clock for each guest suite, featuring one of the easiest-to-set alarms. What’s more, the new clocks also feature a connection cable for MP3 players and other portable music devices including ipods, an addition Hilton made after research revealed that consumers prefer to maintain their own music lifestyles while on the road.
