FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 19, 2007 -- [Fort Lauderdale, FL – June, 2007] – Opening nationwide on June 22, “1408,” starring John Cusack, Mary McCormack , and Samuel L. Jackson is a new Stephen King movie about a haunted hotel room. Horror movie fans are invited to stay in room 1408 at the Marriott North Fort Lauderdale hotel and see if they can keep from getting too scared.

“1408” is adapted from a short story by Stephen King. The main character, horror novelist Mike Enslin (Cusack) tries to prove that ghosts do not exist. While writing his latest novel, “Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms,” Enslin checks into room 1408, a notoriously haunted room that has been shut off to guests because of the over 50 deaths that have occurred there. As the first person in years to stay in this room, Enslin meets his match as ghosts appear and other supernatural specters haunt him.

Any Stephen King or horror movie fan can enjoy a two night stay in room 1408 at the Marriott North, Fort Lauderdale, FL hotel. Although not reputed to be haunted, you can never tell what will happen. For guests who can only handle a little suspense, stay at room 1408 before seeing the movie. For those guests who are more adventurous, plan to see the movie while staying in this room and make it a weekend tribute to the master of horror. But be warned, staying in the room alone after seeing the movie is not for the faint of heart!
