The founder of the world’s first social networking website for dares, Monster Dare, has been dared by his publicist to cut off a little toe on the 18th July, when the site is a month old.
The young entrepreneur, Michael J Oxley, has accepted the dare and plans to remove his toe himself with a bolt cropper. The publicist will lose all his holiday rights for a year.
“I’ve put a year of my life into developing this website, so losing a little toe to publicise it seems like a small sacrifice,” said Michael, who will broadcast the amputation live on his website.
Monster Dare is a website where people can dare each other for money. You could dare a friend 20 quid to run naked down the high street, for example – or you could say that you’d do it for 20 quid – or even dare anybody who fancies the challenge to do it.
To get their hands on the money, people will have to prove they’ve done the dare by submitting photographic or video evidence.

MonsterDare is a joint venture between Michael Oxley, founder of the user generated web TV channel YourKindaTV.com and a group of likeminded digital entrepreneurs including Lee Henshaw, founder of online PR outfit Way To Blue and Mike Collins founder of online gaming exchange SharkWaters.com
