June 24, 2007 (Press Release) --
Spa and wellness are gaining unprecedented growth and popularity across Asia. Spurred by a
global trend of faster air travel, and a busier, more hectic corporate lifestyle - spas and wellness centres are here to stay.
Various reports and estimates put the growth of the Asian spa at between 30% to 60%, annually,
for the next 5 years, making this industry the fastest growing sector of the tourism and service
industry.
Asia Spa and Wellness Festival 2007 is organised against this exciting background and comprises
a trade exhibition and an industry summit. To be held in Kuala Lumpur, in the heart of Asia, the Festival will not only gather the best spas and
wellness centres in Asia, but also be a meeting of the best minds in the spa business.
