FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 30, 2007 -- "After several months contemplating today's market, I just felt the time was right to release OF THE LAW in a digital format."

Susan Wingate explains her plans for her latest release and debut novel, OF THE LAW.

Now available through ebookmall.com, OF THE LAW, has entered the eWorld of publishing.

"With new technology, reading an ebook is no longer something a person must do at a desk. They can read on a train or in a plane - it just seems so simple really. It was a matter of me realizing the broad market base OF THE LAW could reach by publishing the book digitally."

Susan Wingate writes novels, plays, essays, and poetry. She lives in Washington State with her husband, Bob, and their dog, Robert. Currently, Susan teaches writing classes around the country and online through her website. Although she's written creatively her entire life, she decided to make writing her career in 1995.

"My father wrote. He graduated with a degree in English from AZ State University. That's where I went to school also. My dad has always been a great influence for my writing. He was so talented."

OF THE LAW, released May 2007, is a mystery set on small Dahl Island in north Puget Sound. Dreary days are the backdrop for this dark tale of deceit, adultery, bribery and murder.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT OF THE LAW:

"This is not your ordinary modern crime mystery. Dark and retentive, it lurks in your mind as you read page after page, wanting to know what is next. You aren't just the reader because the author has made you a part of the story. You care for Harvey. You despise the victim. You begin to care about Dahl Island, the little town of Thirsty Cove and the man who has sworn to uphold justice for his people. Harvey Fleming is a bleeding man with a job that must be done. As door after door slams to his investigation, he loses comrades, deals with a mad man, and drinks too much. Will Harvey find out who killed Leona Malouf before it's too late?

You won't want to put this down." -RD Larson (author of Mama Tried to Raise a Lady, Saving Reverend Clayton, with Louise Ulmer; Evil Angel, Sorrow's Field, Doors: Stories of Five Strong Women and Marion Riles, Soft-Boiled Detective)

"Just amazing detail and sense of personality... this is writing of the finest quality, advancing story and psychological sense of character." -Michael Collins (author of Keepers of Truth, Lost Souls, and Death of a Writer)
