Founded by Celia Lockwood, a Brit, living in Florida who dreams of living
overseas when she retires, or at least investing in a second home overseas. The site is the first of its type for the single over 40 year old World travel, live-abroad crowd.
Celia began the site in April, 2006 she says because although she knew
there must be others who shared her dream, she could not find them. And so

with the creation of RetiringSingles.com, she created a portal for would be
world travelers/expatriates/investors.
“Starting a new life in a foreign country is an exciting prospect,” Celia
says. “But making a major life move like that on one’s own is so daunting,
it can paralyze you into doing nothing.”
