July 2, 2007 (Press Release) --
BestDealsTVshow.com and the Best Deals TV Show on KCAL-TV Channel 9 in Los Angeles are hosted by veteran business and consumer reporter Alan Mendelson.
Mendelson, for more than twenty years, has been reporting on personal finance and smart and savvy shopping on TV, radio and in newspaper columns.
In October of 2006 he launched the Best Deals operation with his partners at Creative Services Advertising in Los Angeles.
The show and web site began showing consumers how to get the best deals on clothing, furniture, appliances and entertainment. And now it has expanded to include best deals on real estate, mortgages, legal advice, and vacations.
In recent weeks the TV show has featured several Las Vegas condominium and single family house developments where developers are offering discounts and incentives to close-out their units. Recently, the Best Deals TV Show and the web site featured a condo project in Huntington Beach which is just a short walk from the Huntington Beach Pier and beach and Mendelson explained to his audience the incentives and deals being offered by the developer on the last of the condos that were available.
"TV and our videos on the web site are perfect for real estate developers," said Gregg Seaman of CSA and a producer of the TV show and web site. "TV brings condo projects to life, and shows off houses better than any print medium. And our pricing for the TV air time, the free web site videos that we offer our sponsors, and Alan's unique ability to inform and sell makes this a perfect advertising method."
Best Deals TV Show on Channel 9 is actually an infomercial, and the company sells air time to advertisers for as little as $1,250 per minute. There is a two-minute minimum but most advertisers find that a three-minute segment is best for their messages. Some advertisers have blocked out 5-minute segments. The cost of TV production is included in the price.
"What makes this deal even better," says Kevin Pike of CSA, "is that each show is broadcast twice. So for a two minute segment costing $2,500 our advertisers are actually getting four minutes of TV time in the Los Angeles and Southern California market."
The videos are also shown on BestDealsTVshow.com at no additional cost, and advertisers can use the videos on their own web sites as well. "This gives advertisers a one-two-three punch for a knock-out at the sales office," said Pike. "One they get on TV at low cost, two they get the added exposure of their videos on BestDealsTVshow.com, and three they get to use the same video on their own web site. There is tremendous value in what we deliver," he said.
