July 3, 2007 (Press Release) --
Central Pennsylvania is known by many accross the country, and accross the world for that matter, as one of the prettiest areas on the east coast. Along with it's natural beauty, Central Pennsylvania is known for its historical beauty as well. As being one of the oldest states of the country, Pennslyvanian's are proud of their heritage. And it shows when you look at the care and detail that has been given to preserve and maintain these wonderfully time honored Covered Bridges that are sprinkled in a good dose accross Pennsylvania. According to the publisher, James Sinclair, there are 29 in Columbia County alone. In total, Pennsylvania has an estimate 350 to 400 Covered Bridges still standing today, and most are still in use. Eventually, according to James Sinclair, he intends to document and photograph each and everyone, county by county, and provide county specific calendars that will be available for local communities in the future. According to James, he admits that it is very time comsuming, but it has given him some wonderful oportunities to hope on his Harley Davidson and explore some of the wonderful back roads of Pennsylvania. "There's something about Covered Bridges that kinda makes everything seem alright", James sain in closing. The Calender is available and can be seen at www.lulu.com, keywords covered bridges or Pennsylvania. Comments can be emailed to sonincatawissa@yahoo.com.

A Pennsylvania Native has recently published a new 2008 Calendar entitled "Covered Bridges Of Central Pennsylvania".
