July 3, 2007 (Press Release) --
Exothermic cutting rods have traditionally display a copper coated steel tube that easily corrodes in salt water. Magnum Manufacturing of California has developed a new cutting tube coated both inside and outside with a Galvan chemical bond with a top coat of aluminum enriched epoxy. The result is a longer cut, smoother cut and less corrosion for a longer shelf life important in marine settings. The new rods ship 50 per box and will fit into any standard .375 collet. Simply put, they will run in the majority of torch models. Magnum Manufacturing has been in business for eleven years and is the leading innovator in underwater cutting systems. The newly patent pending rods are double insulated wrapped on a lathe for ultimate insulation in addition to cutting performance. The top dive school in the United States uses Magnum cutting rods. Recently, the Navy Seals and numerous SWAT teams found the new Galfan cutting tube superior to all rival cutting rods on the market. More information can be obtained at 1.800.957.4344 or by performing a search for Galfan underwater cutting rods using Google. Magnum currently currently sells underwater cutting products around the globe to diving contractors and related personnel involved in repair, maintenance and salvage projects. The same Galfan coated rods work even better on land and can cut, gouge or pierce any material in seconds.

A new cutting rod for underwater repair and maintenance has been developed by Magnum Mfg. Inc. of California. The rod burns longer, uses less oxygen and is rated to 3000 salt water hours.
