Database System Functionality

The contacts area holds information about mothers and holds all the necessary

required fields . In the contacts area there is a tabbed interface which enable

the doula to see areas connected to the mother, the tabs includes a baby view, a

Photo View, a Documents View (i.e birth plans), a Invoice View, a Timesheet view, a Letters View

and a Birthing/Postnatal Activities View. The views on each tab is able to display multiple records

for that view and clicking on a line takes the doula to the detailed information about

the line chosen.

You will be able to print labels for a found set of contacts.


Baby

Baby records can be created for a mother and these records hold all

the necessary fields. A mother can have multiple child records. The doula is able

to jump back from a baby record to the related mother record.


Photos

The doula is able to store images in the system and link them to a mother.


Documents

The doula is able to store documents in the system and link them to a mother.


Timesheets

The doula is able to input timesheet information and this is recorded against

mother


Letters

A letters section is available which will hold all letters sent to mothers, letters

can be able to be created from individual contacts or from mail merge.

A standard letters section is available to add default letters which can be used

when generating letters.


Invoices

Invoices can be created from the mothers section and holds the required invoice

information.


Birthing/Postnatal Activites

These are viewable on the home screen and on the individual mother screens.

Activites can be added from both the home screen and the mother's screen,

items added from the mother's screen will is linked to the chosen contact.

Each activity has a status, a title, a description, an urgency level and an action

date.


Expenses

There is an expenses area which lets the doula enter all their expenses such as

mileage, parking, purchases etc.


Library

The library section lets the doula to record information about books and videos

they have and if these items are loaned out the doula is able to input information

about the loan.


Emails

Emails can be sent from the system.
