FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FREEDOM (PITTSBURGH), PA; July 16, 2007 Several charities in various parts of the country have recently embarked on strategic relationships with MSP Development Group, company officials reported today. The charities include Lutheran Hour Ministries, The Kansas City Western Missouri Division of The Salvation Army, plus Salvation Army Area Commands and Corps in Missouri, Maryland, West Virginia, North and South Carolina Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio.
These non-profit groups chose to partner with MSP Development Group to improve their direct response fundraising programs and increase gift income in order to advance their charitable missions.
These organizations join other notable clients of MSP Development Group, including New York City-based Safe Horizon (www.safehorizon.org), PetSmart Charities (www.petsmartcharities.org), Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California, (www.rmhcsc.org), as well as 20 other Salvation Army Divisions throughout the U.S.
MSP Development Group Executive Vice President Steven Busheé credits the agencys success in new business acquisition to its innovative fundraising philosophy. What clients and potential clients are reacting to in Pathways is our analytical approach to fundraising, said Busheé. More than standard Recency, Frequency and Monetary strategies, the Pathways approach which focuses strongly on giving donors control of how charities communicate with them enables us to pinpoint donor segments that are underperforming and to develop creative solutions that will improve the performance of those specific segments. As a result, we can build more income for the nonprofits we work with.
With its Pathways philosophy as the cornerstone, MSP Development Group provides a wide range of fundraising services to clients, including strategy; tactical creative across multiple direct-response channels; analytics and growth planning to increase brand awareness, build the donor base, and increase overall fundraising income; detailed results analysis, monitoring, and reporting; printing; and database capabilities.
Some of the fundraising approaches that have been in use for decades simply arent working as well with todays donors, said Jeff Nickel, Vice President, Strategic Planning and Marketing for MSP Development Group. Many nonprofits are seeing this as their donor files shrink and their lapsed donors increase in number. Pathways gives us a fresh, new approach that respects the way donors want to give, and donors are responding with greater generosity.
