On July 16th, 2007, artist Mark Nelson will be installing a large painted mural in the new U.S. Embassy located in Clayton, Republic of Panama.

July 14, 2007 (Press Release) -- Nelson, originally a resident of Panama for nearly 20 years is one of twenty artists selected for the embassy´s permanent collection. Nelson´s career began in Panama where his studies included La Universidad Nacional de Panama, Escuela Nacional de Artes Plasticas, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the University of Illinois in Chicago. Nelson´s studio and current residence is currently located in the city of Chicago. For more information visit
