July 14, 2007 (Press Release) --
Get up close to the lives of the people from the gossip columns...find out who lives where...how much did they pay? See and hear what’s NOT in the guidebooks or on the tourist maps! A real “insider’s peek” at the City of the Rich & Famous. Dozens of celebrity sites and stories! The tour is described as: “NYC History with a Flair plus see where the celebs live, shop, dine and party!”
Rich and Famous Tours is the brainchild of experienced New York City guides Jim Dykes and Mike Brennan, both longtime licensed guides and actors in tv, film and stage roles with a combined experience giving tours for over 50 years. “We began giving public and private guided tours of New York City LONG before the current tourism boom,”says Dykes, who has been mentioned in Page 6 and Liz Smith’s syndicated column after Steven Spielberg tagged along on one of his walking tours a few years ago. “When Mike and I began giving tours of New York you still had to convince people to visit the Big Apple. Now the job is done—and there are a lot of johnny-come-lately tour companies reaping the benefits, but very few of them have guides who are more experienced than us.”
No standing in lines like the large, impersonal commercial bus tours -- if you buy a ticket, a seat is guaranteed. Tours leave on weekend mornings from a convenient Times Square location and can be purchased directly thru the website, www.richandfamoustours.com after July 22! The website can be viewed but is still under TEST until July 18, therefore type in: www.richandfamoustours.com/test ; For more information please contact: Jim Dykes at 212-928-1640 or 917-576-7170 or richfamous2@aol.com
