This dynamic 6-session program will address the most important areas of a relationship to help pre-marital, married and married couples achieve a relationship filled with safety,passion and love.

Charleston, SC – Rev. Ed Kosak of Unity Church in North Charleston is pleased to announce the latest Adult Education program for couples. We are very excited to be offering this important free program for the public to help pre-marital and married couples learn how to achieve an emotionally intelligent relationship.
Rev. Kosak said Glenn Cohen of “I-TO-WE” Relationship Coaching would be leading the workshop series. He goes on to say that Glenn has conducted a number of workshops at his church recently. Kosak stated: “People told me that not only is Glenn practical, his material and techniques are extremely helpful. One person even stated that their relationship was transformed in one afternoon. Having been a therapist in the past, I personally like Glenn's work as it is a synthesis of the best of relationship theories, a few of which I practiced myself. And these were the theories and techniques most helpful to my clients.”
Alexandria, a participant at one of the workshops says that after one session, their communication improved tremendously. She says “We have spent many nights making "appointments" with one another so that we can be heard by the other without reactions or judgments in a safe place, where the goal is not to figure out the answers, just to listen and be heard. I have never felt physically or emotionally closer to my husband as I do now.”
Rev. Kosak said the upcoming free Couples Workshop Series is open to the general public. He says the workshops are fun, informal and enlightening. He said the program involves exercises, break-out sessions and role-playing but the participation is strictly voluntary. People can actively work on issues or they can sit back, relax, and learn through silent observation.
Kosak stated: “I know these workshops will be very helpful for pre-marital and married couples in our congregation and in the Lowcountry who want to work on creating a successful relationship. With the divorce rate so high, I know this will be a wonderful opportunity to provide a meaningful program to help pre-marital and married couples strengthen their relationship.”
The first session will introduce the 12 Principles of Creating an Emotionally Intelligent Relationship. The second workshop will teach couples the skills and techniques to successfully communicate and compromise to live with their unsolvable problems. In the third workshop, couples will learn how to end conflict and properly conduct the business of arguing. The fourth program shows couples the process to create dramatic change in their relationship. The fifth session will help couples create a bond that will last a lifetime by learning how to stay best friends, maintain a connection and develop a joint values and vision plan. The series will end with teaching couples how to build a rock solid foundation by learning each other’s most important definitions of twelve fundamental relationship languages.
