They are both renewable resources! Senior citizens, Sid and Cheri Moses quit retirement and started Bamboo Ecowear; an eco-friendly company that manufactures; bamboo towels, sheets and clothing.
They did it primarily to do their part to help find a solution for global warming. They believe that everyone wants to get on the bandwagon to do something to help with "global cooling". Buying and using bamboo products is a smart and easy way to help the environment. Bamboo is the world's most renewable resource and it is inherently organic; meaning that it requires no pesticides or fertilizer and it replants itself. On the other hand, cotton requires 2-3 pounds of fertilizer and pesticide to grow 1 plant.
The Moses' say everyone can help change the
environment by starting in the bathroom. Buy and use bamboo towels; then move to the bedroom and put bamboo sheets on your bed. Bamboo clothes are very soft, some people call bamboo "cashmere from plants."
