(Free-Press-Release.com) July 23, 2007 -- Lafayette,IN — July 23, 2007 — Local author Frank Creed unveils the newly released Light at the Edge of Darkness with book signings at two local bookstores on Saturday, July 28. Light at the Edge of Darkness is a compilation of Biblical speculative fiction short stories including spiritual thriller, sci-fi, cyberpunk, supernatural and fantasy. Creed, a local author and Subaru of Indiana Automotive associate, will be joined by Mississippi novelist Sue Dent whose debut novel Never Ceese has been shortlisted for a 2007 Bram Stoker Award and nominated for ACFW Book of the Year.

Frank Creed’s three Christian cyberpunk short stories included in Light at the Edge of Darkness are all in the same setting as his debut novel FLASHPOINT: Book One of the UNDERGROUND, due for release on

September 30, 2007. Flashpoint has won an ELFIE for best sci-fi novel, is the July feature book at Yellow30 Sci-Fi (www.yellow30scifi.com) and has been nominated for a 2008 Pluto Award.

Light at the Edge of Darkness contains speculative fiction stories “written from a Christian world view intended to inspire and entertain readers.” Reviewer Kevin Lucia (Title Trakk.com, INFUZE Magazine) notes that Light is “[an] introspective and eclectic anthology of dark, speculative tales musing on what lurks in the shadows, and the love of a Savior who rescues us from them.” Book signings will be held at the Lafayette Barnes and Noble (2-4p.m.) and Carpenters Son (4-6p.m.) Saturday July 28, 2007.
