July 23, 2007 (Press Release) --
New Hyde Park (July, 2007) – In a recent meeting of the Eastern Queens and Long Island Networking Group (EQLI), many business leaders from across Long Island and Queens gathered at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island to hear a special presentation by two of its members. EQLI was formed in January, 2007 under the guidance of House Board Advisor, Gayle Naftaly, owner/operator of access.office, inc. in Garden City. Ms. Naftaly hosted the meeting.
The goals of EQLI group members are to discuss and generate ideas, build new relationships within the community and to invite businesses and individuals who are interested in helping the House. According to Ms. Naftaly, the networking group connects members of the business community to each other, and to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. EQLI meets once a month and features one or two member speakers who present a topic of interest to attendees.
EQLI’s July meeting featured two speakers, Anita Dobin of Super Organizing Solutions (SOS), and Gayle Naftaly, owner/operator of access.office, inc. in Garden City. Super Organizating Solutions is a professional organizing service that has been in existence since 2003 and covers the New York City and Long Island areas. SOS guides its clients toward practical and feasible solutions to fixing everyday clutter and disorder. Ms. Dobin, who holds a BA in Communications, worked in the corporate sector doing marketing and events planning before pursuing her true passion as an organizational consultant. Ms. Naftaly’s meeting topic covered the value of networking, building relationships, self-promotion and business ethics.
Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a ‘home-away-from home’ for families who are caring for seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. Located on the campus of Schneider Children’s Hospital, the House accommodates families in a warm and supportive environment. Since opening in 1986, more than 10,000 families from the United States and more than 80 countries around the world have been served. Most families are from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as from the five boroughs of New York City.
