Artist Susan Adler George opens her Baltimore Maryland basement studio to Adults and children for one-day workshops with a full August Schedule.

Baltimore, MD – Artist Susan Adler George sees potential in everyone and realizes that a formal art school setting is great for some but intimidating for others. She is opening her basement studio to children and adults for one-day workshops in art. These lessons are fun, inspiring, casual and yet offer genuine insight into art techniques, skills and strategies that professional artists use every day. The workshops vary and a full schedule can be found at: www.susanadlergeorge.com. Location is conveniently situated a northern Baltimore city neighborhood, Cedarcoft close to the Senator Theatre and also near Notre Dame College. Students must be re-registered. July and August are filled with fun topics and are priced affordable at only $25 per person per workshop. Classes are limited, Registration is required. A sample of the workshops being offered:
Mondays: August 6th through August 27th:
•Create a Clay Sea Creature:
1 – 2:30pm (ages 6 – 12)
Tuesdays: August 7th through August 28th:
•Visit The Masters at the BMA:
1 – 3:30pm (ages 9 – 13) Join Art Teacher at the Baltimore Museum of Art to learn abut the great Masters and to create your own masterpiece.
Thursdays: July 26th through August 31st:
•Drawing for the Really Young: 1 – 2:30pm
(ages 9 – 13)
•Adult Drawing: 7 – 8:30pm
“Art is not only an escape or form of expression but it can be just pure fun. It is individual – it can be as serious or as frivolous as you want to make it. The connection that is made between the person and the art created can be very profound in its lasting effects. At age 64 I have seen so much rejection – experienced it myself and watched it in my colleagues and friends. Yet, opening my studio to others so that we ALL may experience success is just a no-brainer. Whether you are 6 years old or 86 – everyone deserves to know that they have accomplished something.. You can get lost in the art and feel uplifted and engrossed in something powerful and moving. Susan Adler George (Baltimore, Maryland) currently teaches Art, Drama and Dance at an after school program for inner city school students where she combines drama and art in the creation of original plays. At age 64 Susan Adler George continues to strive to find success with her art and how it heals and enriches others. She paints, sculpts and is a published writer. Her works have been exhibited at galleries and museums regionally and is in private collections throughout the states as well as in Ireland. Her canvases are usually dominated with bold color and influenced by an infatuation with quirky spatial
