Author Celina Summers Prepares For Debut Novel
Lancaster, Ohio -- July 25, 2007: Aspen Mountain Press has announced that Celina Summer’s debut novel The Reckoning of Asphodel will be released on August 10, 2007. The novel is the first book of two four-book series centered around the same fantasy world.
Celina Summers lives in Lancaster, Ohio with her husband and two daughters. After a career as a professional actor, director, and set designer, she turned to speculative fiction. Recuperation from an automobile accident gave her the opportunity to write the eight books in the Asphodel series. Ms. Summers, who also writes short fiction under several other pseudonyms, describes the novel as “epic fantasy with strong Greco-Roman mythological elements. I wanted to take the familiar fantasy archetypes and twist them, giving readers a new kind of fantasy for their bookshelves.”
