Bott Ltd scoop RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Bronze Award

Workplace equipment and storage manufacturer Bott Ltd has scooped a prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Bronze Award for 2007.
Bott Ltd was presented with the award for work carried out at its main manufacturing plant at Safety and Health Expo 2007, the UK’s leading exhibition of its type.
Bott manufactures a range of storage solutions including cabinets, shelving and workbenches at its 9000 sq. m factory at Bude in Cornwall.
The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.
Kevin Sanders, Bott Ltd’s Health & Safety Officer said: “This award is about recognising the steps we have taken to create a safe and healthy workplace for all our staff. With a total of 170 employees working at the Bude sites, it is a constant challenge to ensure their safety. But our exemplary accident record shows we are meeting that challenge.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager, said: “Bott Ltd has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management and is a fine example to many other companies. We would like to see more organisations following their lead.”
The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2007 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Health and Safety).
Bott Ltd scooped the award after being assessed in ten key performance areas and providing detailed evidence of its health and safety policies and activities.
