Ningbo Expat (association) celebrating "150 times a joyful Dinner" with flood relief charity funding

(Free-Press-Release.com) July 30, 2007 -- On Wednesday the 1st of August, 2007, Ningbo Expat is celebrating its 150th dinner. We can`t say 150th "Wednesday dinner "as we had the dinners in the beginning on Saturday evenings. However 150 times sitting together with friends and new comers to Ningbo has created a special feeling towards each Wednesday approaching. It is a mix of curiosity of who is new in town and the warm appreciation of meeting old friends.

It is well-known to most foreigners in Ningbo and many locals that the Ningbo Expat dinner has become a social institution in Ningbo Expat life. Many of our dinners have also developed in longer lasting friendships and even in business cooperations.

To celebrate the special event of the 150th dinner we want to remember all that fellow citizens which are not so lucky than us. Without their own fault they have come into difficult life threatening situations and even lost relatives and loved ones.

At our 1st of August expat dinner we will make a collection which is donated to the official governmental charity found for the flood victims in central China.

It is up to each of you which amount you are prepared to donate and also our host, the Mexican Restaurant will donate a big part of the consumption bill of the dinner.

If you can"t attend in person but still want to make your donation, please use the paypal donation button on the footer of the www.ningbolife.com website. All incoming donation until 1st August, 2007 midnight will be added to the total donation amount. The donor will be named on the website.
The donation will be handed over to:
Ningbo Charity Association which is an official charity organization under the supervision of Ningbo Bureau of Civil Affairs usually handle all the donations from citizens of Ningbo and distributes to the people who need help. It is the most appropriate that our donations be transferred to this Association since they have the biggest influence on local media. And they will also issue an official receipt for your donated amount.
