With the Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod you can enjoy a plethora of internet-radio delights.

Most people are familiar with DAB radio, but internet radio is a much bigger kettle of fish. These myriad radio stations broadcast from around the world - it's possible to listen to reggae from Jamaica, death metal from the Netherlands and Christian rock from the Deep South of the US.
All this is great for working at a PC, but internet radio comes alive when you purchase a dedicated independent device such as the Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod. The Noxon 2 connects to your internet connection via Wi-Fi (or by using an ethernet cable) and accesses internet radio in much the same way a DAB radio accesses the digital network.
The Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod works independently of your computer and downloads a list of 2,500 channels direct from Noxon. You can search by Genre, Country, New Channels and Favourites (you can store favourites at a click of a button on the remote).
The Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod can also connect to the BBC's range of channels, the lack of which was, for a long time, the Achilles' heel of internet radio.
Design-wise, the Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod radio is rather odd. The woofer sits underneath the radio box, and the top of the unit now houses an iPod docking station, so you can listen to music straight from your iPod.
The sound quality is excellent, although the quality of radio stations varies massively (drop-outs and scatty connections are something you'll have to get used to, especially on the more esoteric stations). Sound playback from an iPod is excellent with the Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod though.
The only real let down is the Terratec Noxon 2 Radio for iPod's remote and menu system, both of which are decidedly confusing (you have to press the 'right' button rather than the more instinctive 'play' button to select options, for example).
It's all the more awkward because the built-in menu system takes over your iPod control, rather than letting you choose songs with the infinitely superior clickwheel and iPod menu.
