United States of America (Press Release) August 2, 2007 --
Work Like A Dog Books knows real estate professionals work hard for a living. That’s why it is gathering true stories for a new book called “All In A Day’s Work for Real Estate Agents---Humorous and Heartwarming Stories.” The book will be a compilation of stories detailing all the funny, uplifting and one-of-a-kind experiences that happen to Realtors in the course of their jobs.
Believed to be the first of its kind, “All In A Day’s Work for Real Estate Agents---Humorous and Heartwarming Stories” is designed to celebrate and acknowledge this often misunderstood career field. As a Realtor, what's the craziest thing that has happened to you? Here is your chance to share your story with other real estate professionals everywhere. Nominations can be for yourself or others you know in the field. E-mail your contact information to editor@worklikeadogbooks.com with "Real estate agent nomination" in the subject line or call 706-253-9002. Entries needed across U.S. and Canada.
All stories included must be true accounts of something that happened in the course of being a real estate professional and all names in the piece (such as a client, managing broker, fellow agent, etc.) will be changed to protect anonymity. Stories which become finalists will be written up and published in “All In A Day’s Work for Real Estate Agents---Humorous and Heartwarming Stories.”
Real estate agents with stories included will each receive two complimentary copies of the book, a one paragraph biography with the story and publicity to local and trade media. For
complete details, visit the publisher's website (company name followed by dot com).
“Many people have the misguided notion that it’s easy to be a real estate agent or that it’s quick money,” said the book’s author, TC McClenning. “My career path has taken me behind the scenes in real estate for 15 years and I can honestly say nothing could be further from the truth.”
TC related that agents, as a whole, are an amazing group of people who sacrifice a lot for their profession--evenings, weekends and holidays to help clients buy or sell real estate. During the course of doing their jobs, many touching, funny or strange things happen.
“That's where this book comes in. It's designed to be a celebration of the real estate field and all the hard-working people in this profession.”
Stories can be anything related to real estate. Examples include transportation problems; crazy things that happen during caravans/open houses; embarrassing moments; getting lost; going above and beyond to make a deal work; the power of persistence; communication breakdowns; stories involving pets or kids; technology helping or hindering a situation; a story about one's all-time strangest client; oddest requests or stipulations included in a deal, etc.
