(Free-Press-Release.com) August 3, 2007 -- I wrote my first book – A Matter of Life & Death; a book about the power of the spoken word at the age of 33, and my second – The wholesome Truth about Healing; a book that tackles the tough questions about the healing of the body at 36. I have always enjoyed writing from a tender age, I remember in primary school I wrote an essay about two cats ‘Peggy’ and ‘Leggy’ who went missing and were later found, my teacher was so impressed he asked me to read my essay in front of the class. That experience gave me such affirmation it never left me.

My books are the result of many years of study, observation, experience and formal/ informal research. I started writing bits and pieces of my first book in the year 2000 and it is a great feeling to see in print the final results of many years of keeping my notes. I get a lot of inspiration from reading. I can write on any topic as long as I have an intense passion for the subject matter. I always keep a journal where I write my insights; anything that stirs me deeply or strikes a deep chord in my spirit. This can include quotes, witty words of wisdom, stuff I read in a book or hear from others. I absolutely love reading and I’m a voracious reader so I do a great amount of reading around my chosen topic. Then when I feel the time is right I begin to build upon the notes I have written and flesh out the framework. I work on several manuscripts at once and then focus on the one which exerts its influence as the book for that season.

My favourite authors are Dutch Sheets, Frank Peretti, Mary Hunt and a few others. I love authors who have a good handle on their topic, are eloquent, witty, write with clarity and are able to skilfully incorporate an excellent sense of humour even within the most serious subjects.

I work as an editor and I’m a director of my own company. It is quite challenging to work and write at the same time. One has to be extremely disciplined and judicious with time and sometimes burn the midnight oil but it is worth it in the end.

My friends and family have read my books with excellent feedback and constructive criticism. I am currently writing many other books at the moment and my plan for the future is to bring out a book a year and produce many best sellers.
