United States of America (Press Release) August 6, 2007 --
Controversy is nothing new to artist David Scotland. Neither is living a lifestyle devoted to peace and helping others succeed. But his new art series to be released this fall is about to change all that, he claims, and for the better. Who is this artist and what is he all about?
"It's time to reveal some hidden truths that some very powerful and corrupt people in the United States do not want others to know about. Lucky for art and the First Amendment, right? I think this will get some serious attention because I'm fed up with all the corruption and lies of omission. This new series will literally rattle some cages and ruffle some feathers," says Scotland of San Diego, California. His new series debuts this fall in San Diego in an as yet undisclosed location to be announced via his websites:

The museum artist launched the world premiere of his new art movement, "Companionism ~ Art That Does Good," at the Portland Art Museum on June 8, 2006 with TV and film star Tucker Smallwood as the guest artist who performed Scotland's poetry while Scotland painted before a live, sold-out audience of raving fans. The performance was filmed for a feature film documentary in production about the artist. For his current series guaranteed to get some serious attention, the artist simply says: "Show up and see for yourself. Then go and find out for yourself if it will do something good for you. You have to try it out, this art. It is meant to be experienced live and in person."
