In an oversaturated category Grape Video comes out victorious in historic contest.
More than 20 of the Area’s top videography companies competed, but in the end only one would prevail. With more than 50% of the votes Grape Video ran away with the “A List” honors winning “Best Wedding Videographer” according to the poles.
“There was so much support from our past and current clients” stated Brandon Robinson, President and CEO of Grape Video. Brandon began the campaign early but did not opt for the promotional voting packages being sold by City Voter, the company in charge of the contests.
Instead of e-mail blasts and banner ads, Brandon tried a more guerrilla approach to winning the contests with personal e-mails and phone calls. Another winner, DJ Mike Reegan used the same approach and also won the contest in flying colors. “It was not easy” stated Reegan “there was a lot of Red Bulls and sleepless nights involved in winning this contest”.
With more than 75,000 votes, the KCRA “A List” Contest turned out to be the largest online voting contest in Sacramento’s History.
