The latest campaign from the Mobile Industry Crime Action Forum, which includes the police and the five major UK networks, claims that 80% of mobile phones will be blocked within 48 hours. This action does not protect the user from abuse to the sensitive data that is held on handsets in this day and age. The blocking of the handset is also only available to the home network leaving users potentially liable for 1,000’s of pounds of call costs whilst roaming.
